Entry Fees

An entry may be submitted in only one regular category, but as many special award categories as you wish. Exception: Any entry in a book category 39-49 may also enter graphics categories 22-25. This requires a separate entry form and entry fee. Discounted entry fees are only available to members in good standing as of May 1, 2023.

Regular Categories (Non-Member Entry Fees)*

Choose a category for your submission. $20 for any category. Must choose one, and only one.

Special Award Categories (Member Entry Fees)

Choose one or more categories for your submission. $10 each. You must enter your submission in a Regular Category (above) to be eligible to enter these Special Award categories.

Special Award Categories (Non-member Entry Fees)

Choose one or more categories for your submission. $15 each. You must enter your submission in a Regular Category (above) to be eligible to enter these Special Award categories.

I understand and abide by all contest rules, and further agree that the DWAA and/or Special Award sponsors may use my name and likeness in connection with the DWAA Writing Competition publicity. I further agree that the DWAA may publish and use excerpts from my entry to announce contest results or otherwise advertise the contest. If such usage requires the permission of any publisher, co-writer or other individual or entity, I agree to obtain such permission and have it extend to the Dog Writers Association of America.
