Call for Entries for Fall Ruff Drafts: Working Dogs

August 9, 2018
By Jen Reeder

As you are winding down your summer (egads! School is starting for some folks in under two weeks) we are preparing to ramp up for the fall issue of RUFF Drafts.

The theme for this issue will be “Working Dogs,” in a tip of the tail to both our publication date (on or before Labor Day) and to the general “going back to work” feeling that the fall brings.

By working dogs, we mean any dog that has a job, whether it’s in the military, law enforcement, health care or education. We want to hear about these miraculous four-footed friends and what they do to make the world a better place.

As always, we are looking for articles less than 1,000 words and we LOVE pictures the accompany them. Please make sure that your photos have sufficient dpi (more than 300) so that they can reproduce well. Cell phone shots are not always the best in this regard.

I look forward to hearing from you- Please contact me if you have questions. Other, non-theme articles are also welcome, space permitting.
